HAMPDEN-SYDNEY, VA, March 11, 2009 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Amid great economic uncertainty and record prices for silver and gold, the Silver Blog is holding the Silver Blog Bash starting Sunday, April 5th until Saturday, April 11th 2009.
So far prizes for the Blog Bash are 10 silver rounds ($153.90), provided by Silver50.com; one on one talk with David Morgan ($187.50), the silver newsletter author silver-investor.com; 5 copies of The Collapse of the Dollar ($14.95/copy) by James Turk and John Rubino.
Other potential sponsors include Jason Hommel whom has expressed interest over an email conversation, but has not yet pledged any gifts. The search for sponsors is on going according to Adam Jay Doolittle, the Publisher of Silver Monthly.
As outlined on Silver Monthly, there are five different ways to enter the Blog Bash--"with five different prizes," notes Doolittle.
1. New User: visitors can register for the blog while random user(s) will be chosen as the winner(s). Visitors must provide a valid email address and select a user name--other details are not required.
2. Comment: visitors can leave comments on blog posts and have the chance to win, as random comment poster(s) will be selected to win the comment contest.
3. Most Comments: the user who gives the most number of valid comments will be chosen as the winner. Users can gauge his or her progress with "Top Commentators" located on the sidebar of the blog.
4. Most Stories Submitted: the user who submits the most stories will win. "However, this is a Silver Blog so only stories relevant to the silver market will be approved," said Doolittle. Users can also check to see the top submitters count on the sidebar of the blog.
5. Highest Voted Story: the user(s) whom submit the stories that get the highest number of votes from other users will win.
People or businesses interested in gaining additional exposure for his or her product and company are encouraged to contact Adam Jay Doolittle. Sponsors for the contest will benefit from the multiple press releases sent out during the contest.
"The main point of this contest is having fun in unfun times. With the markets down, and thousands becoming unemployed a contest like this gives some a little relief," mentions Doolittle as a last remark.
