DESCRIPTION
[Para 1] The present invention relates to a device that enables mounting a vice or fixture to a class 3 hitch that is elevated and adjustable for height and is stowable.

[Para 2] The device is constructed in two pieces, the first piece is a 15 inch piece of 2x2x1/4 inch square tubing with a 22 inch piece of 2x2x1/4 square tubing attached at a 70 degree angle and with a support gusset welded on the 70 degree angle of the upright piece with 3 holes drilled and spaced to allow vertical adjustment. This part is inserted in any 2 inch ID receiver and provides the vertical member to attach the second part of the device. The second part is a 12 inch piece of 2x2x3/16 inch piece of 2 inch ID tubing that has one hole for a adjustment pin to change the height of the platform that is attached to the 2x2x3/16 inch tube at a level or parallel angle to the ground, the platform is 10x10 inches and 1/4 inch thick for mounting a vice or other tool to be used on this device, the second part of this device is slide down over the first part of the device that is securely installed in the before mentioned 2x2 ID receiver, to create a height adjustable and portable work station anywhere there is a vehicle or a receiver.

[Para 3] The elements necessary are a receiver of some kind with a 2x2 inch ID opening or a adapter to step the 2x2 opening down to the lighter duty receivers that are found on small vehicles that are 1x1 ID square. The optional elements would be the mounting of different tooling than a vice. What could make the invention better would to use different thicknesses of material or light weight or rust proof alloys.

[Para 4] The first part of this device relies on the availability of a 2x2 inch ID receiver for the other two parts of the device to work with that being on hand either by being attacked to a truck car tractor 4 wheeler wall table front or back of said attachment points, that enables the first part to be slide in to the receiver to establish solid piece to make the transition from horizontal to vertical at a 70 degree angle witch allows a off set to gain clearance from the attachment receive, then when that transition is firmly established you slide the second part of the device over the first to provide a level strong mounting point for a vice or other piece of equipment relative to the project at hand.

[Para 5] The invention works by allowing a vice or other tool to be mounted any vehicle or solid place a 2x2 ID square tube is mounted such as a class 3 receiver hitch or larger The first part of the invention slides into the receiver witch turns a horizontal attachment point to a vertical plane at a 70 degree angle to provide clearance from the mounting point, than the second part of the invention slides down over the first with 10x10x1/4 inch plate that has been welded on a level plane to produce a level mounting point for a vice or other tool relative to job.

[Para 6] Take one piece of 2x2x1/4 thick OD square tubing and at one end drill a 17/32 hole 1.5 inches in from one end. Take a second piece of the same material 22 inches long and on one end cut it off at a 70 degree angle at the other end drill 3 17/32 holes starting 3.0 inches from the end on 2 inch centers. Take one piece of 1/4 inch flat steel plate cut out a triangle approximately 3.375 inches wide at the base of the triangle leaving on side straight cut the other side on a 70 degree angle with the total over length of approximately 10 inches with it starting at 3.375 inches wide tapering to 0 over the 10 inch dimension. Taking the 15 inch piece lay on a flat surface with one 17/32 drilled hole facing up and to your left, then take the 22 inch piece with the 3 holes and the 70 degree cut angle and place it on top of the 16 inch piece while holding it back from the none drilled end approximately 3.375 inches to allow room for the 70 degree gusset to be inserted at the end to be welded to create a70 degree vertical upright this allows the 15 inch piece to support the welded 70 degree piece to create a vertical tube to which the second piece to be slide down over. With this 70 degree lever made set it to the side. Now prepare to make the second piece. Take a 12 inch piece of 2x2x3/16 ID square tubing cut one end at 70 degrees and drill 1- 17/32 inch hole spaced in 2 inches from the other end, next cut out a 10inch x10inch x 1/4 inch thick piece of mild steel plate, place the 70 degree end of the 2x2x3/16 ID tubing centered on the flat surface of the 10x10 plate and fully weld it. Now you have the second piece finished. Now take the first piece and insert it into a 2 inch receiver unit and slide the second piece down over the first to create a level mounting platform inserting a hitch pin in one of the 3 holes at the desired height. Inspect for flaws then paint with the proper weather resistant paint, you know have a multipurpose, multi height, multi use attachment device to hold various to.

[Para 7] The device could be made in one piece. It could turn left out of the receiver or right, it could be made to work in a compound use such as stacking the units end to end. Have the provision to insert a draw bar or hitch ball in the end when inserted in the receiver, made with a hinge to fold down left or right, could have a support bracket that drops down for added weight support to the ground, add mechanical arms to help hold work pieces when no help is available.

[Para 8] To use this invention Take the lower first piece and insert it into any 2 inch square receiver or smaller with a male to female adapter, slide the second piece down over the first set desired height and insert supplied 1/2 inch hitch pin, mount specific tool such a vice if not already bolted down to the 10x10 plate, and perform work with very stable, very strong, work station any where a receiver is available!

[Para 9] Can be used with a vice installed to securely hold material in back of truck that is too long to secure, turned side ways to hold a post or pipe or structural steel vertical in place instead of another set of hands. Where legal as a rifle rest off of the back or front of a 4x4 truck, Attachment point for a tow rope, is by design stronger than most hitch receivers, the uses are only limited to ones imagination!!

[Para 10] The problem my invention solves is to provide a stowable and easy to use vice mounting system that is easy to transport and not in the way of other projects when not in use. It solves the problem by being in two pieces light weight and easily fitting in a standard pickup tool box and stronger than a conventional work bench mounted unit plus being portable.
