/24-7PressRelease/ - DETROIT, MI, November 05, 2005 - Mobile advertising company, Media Trucks, today announced a commitment to send two more trucks to Detroit in late January to meet demands for mobile advertising space during Super Bowl week.
"The Super Bowl is the biggest sports and entertainment spectacle in sports, drawing visitors from all over the world," said Media Trucks President, Doug Miles. "The demand for creative ways to reach consumers in this environment is very high."
Media Trucks initially planned to send only one of its unique advertising vehicles to the Motor City, but demand for "live ads" and "mobile showrooms" has been higher than normal. The company will have one vehicle displaying a "live ad", another scrolling through a variety of traditional mobile billboard ads and the third has yet to be designated for any particular use.
"Live ads have certainly been the rage in mobile advertising for the past year and I don't foresee any slowdown in the near future," said J Garrett Wilkie, of the Hennepin Point Marketing Consultancy. "The Super Bowl will present a grand stage for this particular advertising medium, which provides the luxury of three-dimensional boundaries for creativity."
Recent applications of live ads have included swimsuit models lounging on a glass-encased mobile beach; fan-driven snow around a mannequin wearing skis and ski clothing and a live model watching television in a mobile living room. Media Trucks ad vehicles include lighting and supports in the ad compartment. The vehicles also have external sound and PA systems to appeal to ears as well as the eyes.
Media Trucks is Chicago's most visible mobile advertising company. The company offers the only permanent daily mobile advertising route in Chicago, as well as hourly, daily, weekly and special rates. Media Trucks offices are located in Chicago's Loop.
