Charles Lane Inducted into Worldwide Who's Who for Excellence in Environmental Inspection

    GOLDEN VALLEY, MN, December 18, 2012 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Charles A. Lane, IFC, AIA, CID, PE, SECB, CIH, CSP, LEED AP BD+C, ID+C, O+M and Homes, President and Chief Executive Officer of Environmental Process, Inc./epi Investigations, Inc., has been recognized by Worldwide Who's Who for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in environmental inspection.

As president and CEO of Environmental Process, Inc./epi Investigations, Inc., Mr. Lane specializes in the evaluation of building design and construction, as well as the evaluation of problems and failures of building design in commercial, industrial, institutional and residential buildings. In the course of his everyday duties, he is responsible for providing critical evaluations of design, construction, operation, and health and safety issues in the building environment to public and private clients, and overseeing all architecture, engineering, industrial hygiene and workplace safety design and consulting services for various clients and design projects. A highly qualified engineer, he manages a staff of 12 employees that performs field inspections, safety and health inspections, and architectural and engineering inspections. He regularly works with insurance companies and attorneys as a forensic expert and testifies in court for investigations. On the legal side of the business, he underwrites reports for litigation.

Mr. Lane has served as a speaker or instructor at more than 200 conferences and seminars regarding environmental, architectural, engineering, energy conservation, building construction and indoor air quality issues in building design and construction. In addition, he has been featured in a number of newspapers and has made numerous television and radio appearances. The projects he has handled as president and chief executive officer of Environmental Process, Inc./epi Investigations, Inc., include food process facilities, industrial process facilities, manufacturing facilities, government facilities and educational facilities. He attributes his success to continually learning and reading new things in his field, as both are activities that he greatly enjoys. He became involved in his profession when he began doing consulting work in different practices; his career evolved from that point to where he is today.

Mr. Lane received a Master of Science in civil engineering from the Department of Civil and Mineral Engineering at the University of Minnesota in 1978, having received a Bachelor of Environmental Design from the School of Architecture at the University of Minnesota in 1975. He is licensed as a professional engineer in Washington, D.C. and in the states of MN, TX, WI, PA, FL, NE, ID, MA, MI, ID, CO and SD. in civil, structural HVAC, and environmental engineering. Moreover, he is a licensed architect in MN and TX, and holds a certification in interior design in the state of MN. In years to come, Mr. Lane plans to continue in his current capacity, while continuing to build the business; in particular, he hopes to grow the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) part of the business.
