MANCHESTER, NH, August 23, 2012 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Crystal Nadeau, Portrait Photographer and digital art gallery owner at Goodbrain .com Photo Studio and Adjunct Instructor of VTEC, Manchester, has been recognized by Worldwide Who's Who for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in photography.
Ms. Nadeau looks at her past experiences as stepping stones and today she is proud to be the mother of two adult children, and four grandchildren. She changed her post high school career from nursing to photography, six years later she followed her desire and became a successful camera repair technician, which opened up her "technology brain"; enter Photoshop (v5.5). She studied web and graphic design part time while still working as a repair technician and upon graduating, she chose to stay and work for the school, which propelled her fully into her digital age future. She began teaching classes, moved the school and relaunched it as a 40-workstation computer arts school, and held the position of Vice President. At the school's closing, she successfully launched and operated her own graphic design career training school, Goodbrain Academy of Creative Technology, where she created and launched a comprehensive "graphic design internship and incubator" program to assist graduates with "getting started in web and graphic design career fields" while simultaneously creating an art gallery 100 percent devoted to computer art, the only kind in its area. In all of this, she continued to function as a freelance professional photographer. With the closing of her school and movement to join her programs with another technology school, she gained valuable business experiences and networking connections.
Crystal has 25 years of experience in professional photography (all areas) and as of today, 13 years as a web and graphic design designer, educator, business consultant and coach for creative individuals. Most recently, she has maintained two positions. As a portrait photographer and owner of Goodbrain .com Photo Studio, where she specializes in maternity and newborn, children and family portraits; as an artist creating computer-generated art; and offering workshops and private lessons, coaching and business consulting in both photography and graphic arts to individuals and groups. Additionally, Ms. Nadeau held a position over the last two years, as an adjunct instructor at VTEC Training (formerly known as Blended Solutions Technical Institute (BSTINH.com), a school that provides computer based training to companies and individuals. Here, she handled all graphic design classes and Adobe products such as Photoshop , Illustrator , InDesign , Acrobat and principals of design and desktop publishing.
The highlight of her career is being able to inspire others "to embrace technology" and "enabling artisans to thrive as a creative being" and recognizing that she has a knack for "making it simple" to understand. She has experience in working with individuals with learning dysfunctions and loves how "...the computer trains the brain." She is personally inspired by her mom, who is also a graduate of her school and is a talented digital artist as well, and every student she's had the pleasure to work with. She is especially happy to be good friends with graduate and acclaimed nationally recognized award winning commercial Illustrator, Jerry Lofaro. She attributes her business success to her willingness to "give freely of my gifts to others," as well as her "never give up" and "just do it" attitudes.
Ms. Nadeau is certified in graphic and web design by the Pioneer Computer School of Visual Arts. She recently earned an Associate Colleague of Photography degree (A.C.PH — credentialing designation) with the NH Professional Photographers Association. She is an active member of BNI (Business Networking International), NHPPA (New Hampshire Professional Photographers Association) & PPA (Professional Photographers of America). She is the Vice President of Alumni for PPANE (Professional Photographers Association of New England), she is on the NH Board of Advisors for the Graphic Design & Communications degree at Hesser College, Manchester, a former member of: the Manchester Arts Commission (City of Manchester, New Hampshire) and the following organizations: NH Creative Club Steering Committee, NANPA, NAPP, and the Manchester Camera Club. In 2010, she received the prestigious "Fuji Masterpiece Award" and "Judges Award" (presented by professional fine art photographer Jennifer Hudson) for her digitally painted portrait titled "Lexxus".
Most recently, Ms. Nadeau has completed an accelerated business training program at CEO Space Inc. She feels "this was the best thing since the invention of the camera!" Ms. Nadeau already has plans in progress and will be relocating to the west coast by October 2012, to Irvine, Ca. to be exact, and will hold the office of Vice President at Fire & Thermal Protection Engineers, Inc., a company specializing in fire proof coatings. Ms. Nadeau says "I will continue to operate as a professional photographer, building a new leg to my photography business in 'destination portraits.'" She is still in the planning stages of for a "destination photographic workshop" to Florence, Italy in the fall of 2013.
