PHILADELPHIA, PA, March 16, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Eduardo Bechara Navratilova, Creative Writer and Creative Writing Teacher at Temple University, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in all aspects of higher education.
A travel writer and journalist, Mr. Bechara focuses much of his writing on the observance of human beings and the capacity of understanding peoples nature. In his role at Temple University, he is responsible for preparing and teaching classes on Creative Writing and Business Writing. Mr. Bechara writes articles for Colombian based newspaper, El Tiempo, and Philadelphia based newspaper Al Dia. Previously, he served in the military in Colombia and was recognized as the best soldier in the 4/2 Contingent of the Recruiting Battalion (1993). He worked as a lawyer in Bogota, Colombia, for Triana, Uribe & Michelsen, was founder of Xcoli, a corporation that organizes sportive events in Colombia, and founded Escarabajo Ltda., Publishing House and Literary Magazine. He has written two novels including La novia del torero, (2002), which translates as The bullfighter's girlfriend, and Unos duermen, Otros no, (2006), which translates as Some Sleep, Others Don't. (This novel has already been translated into English). In 2007 he covered the whole Brazilian coast writing chronicles for El Tiempo, in a project called Brasil en dos ruedas, that raised money for Colombian children with cancer. A child of a mixed background, Czech and Lebanese, he wanted to be a writer since he was 10 years old and pursued his passion for writing after a career in law. He attributes his success to his passion, dedication, and the ability to assume responsibility. He has sacrificed everything to reach his goals.
Mr. Bechara received his degree in Law from Universidad de los Andes, Bogota, Colombia in (1999), and Literature in (2005). He has a Master of Arts at Temple University, Philadelphia, U.S.A., (2009). A winner of the Juan B. Solarte Medal in the Colombian Army (1993), he hopes to publish more books in English and Spanish language, obtain a professorship at a Czech University, become a creative writer and literature teacher in Prague, Czech Republic.
