Kelly R. Merriman Recognized by Worldwide Who's Who for Excellence in Health and Fitness Management

    MINNEAPOLIS, MN, March 20, 2013 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Kelly R. Merriman, Vice President of Service Deliver for HealthFitness Corporation, has been recognized by Worldwide Who's Who for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in health and fitness management.

Ms. Merriman has 15 years of experience in health management, with a longstanding commitment to improving the well-being of her clients. HealthFitness Corporation is a health management organization that provides on-site fitness management, health management, and condition management. As vice president of service delivery for the HealthFitness Corporation, she is responsible for applying her leadership and strategic planning skills to oversee three departments. This includes on-site services such as worksite screenings, face-to-face seminars and webinars; integrated coaching, such as condition management coaching, and lifestyle and health advisory; and engagement services, such as health and benefit advocacy.

In total, Ms. Merriman oversees a staff of 200 full-time staff and, indirectly, 2,000 temporary staff. In addition, she assists sales teams by providing them with presentations, while collaborating with the department of account management. Ms. Merriman's key accomplishments are leading the development and execution of the first telephonic health coaching program at HealthFitness Corporation. She was promoted from manager of coaching, to director of coaching and screening, to vice president of service delivery. She attributes her success to great network of family and friends who support her, hard work and determination.

Ms. Merriman received a master's degree in epidemiology from the University of Wisconsin, Madison and a Bachelor's Degree of Science in Biology from the University of Minnesota. She is a member of the Minnesota Public Health Association. Ms. Merriman serves on the Board of Directors of Perspective Inc. In 2012, she was the recipient of the Dedicated Service Award from the Health Fitness Corporation. In 2011, she was distinguished with a Making a Difference Award.
