Roswell, NM, February 18, 2013 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Susan Russell, training coordinator for The International Law Enforcement Academy-Roswell, has been recognized by Worldwide Who's Who for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in her career.
On November 12, 2012, Ms. Russell joined BlueLaw International to provide program administrative and logistical support at ILEA-Roswell. Ms. Russell liaises with Roswell- and Washington, D.C.-based program staff; administers and maintains training evaluation forms; serves as the onsite point of contact for instructors and interpreters during training; ensures the main discussion points and follow-up needs arising during training sessions are captured for reporting; prepares facilitator guides, and participant materials in conjunction with instructors; and contributes to progress reporting focused on training impacts and lessons learned.
A detail-oriented self-starter, Ms. Russell is also tasked with overseeing the day-to-day management of the office, helping to arrange travel and lodging for instructors to and in Roswell, and managing Roswell office expenses.
Prior to joining BlueLaw International, she served as an executive director for the Community Foundation of Chaves County for 9 years. While there, she organized and facilitated three major fundraisers a year; and worked with major donors; was responsible for grant-making to needy recipients; staffing; and financial management. All-in-all, she was instrumental in promoting the well-being of the community through the organization.
Ms. Russell is a great motivator who brings solid team building skills to the table. She is also a well-versed leader with consummate decision making skills, and a strong ability to deploy strategic planning.
She attributes her professional success to her integrity, reliability, work ethic, and especially to her three incredible children: daughter Jennifer, son Michael, and her youngest son Matthew who passed away in August 2011.
Ms. Russell received her bachelor's of journalism degree. She is a recipient of the Community Foundation Exemplary Service Award and the Community Foundation Outstanding Service Award from the Roswell Chamber of Commerce. She was also distinguished with the Volunteer of the Year Award by the Sunrise Optimist Club.
She was a committee member for the All-America City Award; Judge for Altrusa Club of Roswell; Eastern New Mexico University-Roswell Bond Election Committee member; New Mexico Military Institute Parents Club; and Peer Councilor for People Living Through Cancer. She was a founding member of the Roswell Safe Coalition and of the United States Tennis Association-Southeastern New Mexico Association. In 2011, Ms. Russell was named a VIP member of Worldwide Who's Who. She will be featured in an upcoming edition of Pro-Files Magazine.
BlueLaw International is an international development consulting firm providing technical services on law enforcement, justice and security sector reform and human rights programs. BlueLaw has an active contract with the Department of State's Bureau for International Narcotics and Law Enforcement (INL) to provide training to foreign criminal justice personnel at the International Law Enforcement Academy (ILEA) in Roswell, New Mexico.
