Nancy has been visiting Aspen for over ten years and is a long-time attendee at the JAS festivals. Since, 2006 Nancy and her husband Richard R. Rogers , Chairman of the Board of cosmetics giant Mary Kay,Inc.,have been major underwriters of the JAS Academy and have been host sponsors for major artist performances at the JAS including Joss Stone and Anita Baker. This year, Nancy served as the Chair of Special Events for the JAS Executive Committee. In this capacity, Nancy attracted to Aspen, Lawrence Bock of Bachendorf's, Dallas' Finest Designer Jeweler who honored JAS with a private jewelry show at The Little Nell hotel in Aspen Tuesday, July 22nd by donating a percentage of sales that evening to the JAS. Joining the Rogers in Aspen for the Blues and Bling Gala on Thursday, July 24th also, benefiting the JAS, were top-flight fundraisers from Dallas, Gina and Ken Betts as well as Lisa Schnitzer, whose husband owns the Park Place Motor Cars dealerships in Dallas. Other notables were Jenny and Jonathan Kennedy, son of Supreme Court Justice Anthony Kennedy, uber real estate developer, Pat Smith, film director, Chris Cain and wife Sharon, Holly Dremen, husband, David Dremen is author and financier David Dremen. An intimate, by Texas standards, crowd of 240 people enjoyed performances by The Blues Brothers Band, guest Eddie Floyd and an impromptu performance by John Oates.
