SAN FRANCISCO, CA, July 20, 2013 /24-7PressRelease/ -- "Addie has been a solid, reserved force in our practice, managing some of our most valued client accounts. Equally important, she is a wonderful role model to our attorneys and paralegals, both as a legal expert and as a compassionate, calm person." So says Julie Pearl, the firm's founder who, together with Partners Christy Nguyen and Sameer Khedekar, directs an international immigration practice serving employers in a wide range of industries and geographies.
Addie joined Pearl Law Group in early 2011, after heading the Immigration Department of a large, multi-practice firm. As a testament to the strength and longevity of her relationships, Addie's staff and clients have remained with her since the start of her career as an attorney. "She also brought significant practice management experience to us, and is helping us leap forward in representing clients worldwide," says Christy Nguyen.
"Pro bono and community service work is also very important in our firm," says Sameer Khedekar, "and we credit Addie for much of our effort in this regard." Following the August 2012 Presidential memo establishing Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA), Addie took the lead in establishing a pro bono DACA program for candidates in the San Francisco area. The program helps certain undocumented immigrants under age 31 who entered the U.S. as children to defer removal from the U.S. and obtain temporary employment authorization. Among other activities, this propelled the firm to receive the 2013 SuperLawyers Pro Bono Award.
Addie is a graduate of the University of California, Los Angeles and received her law degree from Santa Clara University School of Law.
